The highly anticipated Intersolar South America 2025 will take place from August 26-28, 2025, in São Paulo, Brazil. Fonrich New Energy is excited to participate, showcasing cutting-edge advancements in the field of photovoltaic safety. We warmly invite industry partners to visit our booth for insightful discussions and to explore the latest trends in solar safety development.
In the long-term operation of photovoltaic power plants, DC arc faults are one of the most significant safety risks, often leading to fire hazards. As a key player in photovoltaic safety, Fonrich has spent years focusing on arc fault detection technology. We have developed a range of high-precision, high-reliability products that safeguard the safety of photovoltaic plants worldwide.
As a leading solar energy company, Fonrich has evolved from “passive protection” to “intelligent prediction” with its advanced arc detect technology. The string-level AFCI breaker system continuously monitors both series and parallel arcs in each string, enabling precise identification of faulty strings. Upon detection, the rapid shutdown mechanism isolates compromised strings in milliseconds, allowing unaffected strings to maintain normal power generation. This arc fault interrupter technology not only enhances safety but also optimizes energy yield across the entire photovoltaic array.
Fonrich’s innovative arc fault circuit monitoring integrates a 1600-meter loop communication architecture, delivering real-time data on arc events, string currents, and overall system health. This enables remote diagnostics and creates a detailed “safety profile” for the power plant. In commercial BIPV projects, operators can monitor the health of each string via a centralized platform, effectively transforming the breaker AFCI unit from a simple safety switch into a powerful data hub. The system is fully compatible with AFCI inverter setups, ensuring seamless integration and robust protection.
Fonrich’s arc fault interrupter solution requires no major modifications to existing electrical infrastructure or additional arc circuit interrupter wiring. By installing rapid shutdown solar devices directly at the string level, comprehensive arc fault protection is achieved with minimal disruption. This approach significantly reduces construction costs, shortens installation timelines, and lowers overall renovation expenses. Moreover, during a fault event, only the affected string is disconnected, preserving the productivity of the remaining array and safeguarding the plant’s economic performance.
