Fonrich Supports China Tower Group’s 62MW Base Station PV Project Construction

On June 14, 2022, Shanghai Electric announced that it had won the bid for the 62MW distributed photovoltaic (PV) development rights from the Zhejiang branch of China Tower Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as “China Tower”). This project, located in Zhejiang Province, involves approximately 11,500 rooftop rooms and 6,900 cabinets within Zhejiang. The project plans to build about 62MW of distributed PV using DC microgrid power supply technology to provide green electricity to the tower base stations, achieving 100% consumption of the generated power.

Recently, Fonrich New Energy received a cooperation notification from the project owner. As the primary supplier, Fonrich will provide 20,000 smart controllers for the first phase of the project. This product is the core component of the DC microgrid system, with each PV module equipped with a smart controller to achieve independent MPPT for each module, configurable output voltage, and an efficiency of up to 99%. The power generation system uses a parallel structure, ensuring that when individual modules experience issues, other modules remain unaffected, significantly reducing power generation losses. Throughout the project cooperation, the Fonrich team firmly adhered to the principle of “customer-centric, value innovation,” actively responding to customer needs and custom-developing solutions to ensure the “safe, energy-saving, efficient, and reliable” operation of the base station distributed PV system.

In mid-November 2022, the first batch of smart controllers was successfully delivered thanks to the unremitting efforts of all Fonrich New Energy employees and is about to be shipped to various sites.

Before the product delivery, Mr. Zhou, the purchasing manager from Shanghai Electric Smart Energy Company, visited our company for inspection and guidance as the system integrator. Deputy General Manager Yan Huaiwei comprehensively introduced the development history of Fonrich, including the entire process of product development, supply chain, production, quality inspection, and after-sales service, and accompanied the customer to visit various production lines, laboratories, aging platforms, and the company’s test power station. Through the inspection, Mr. Zhou fully affirmed Fonrich’s timely response capability and research and development strength in cooperation with central state-owned enterprises.
