The DC Arc Fault Detector determines whether a real arc is present by collecting and analyzing electrical parameters in the circuit. When an abnormal signal is detected, the detector triggers an alarm to the inverter to cut off the power, preventing further damage.

What is the purpose of the Fonrich’s Arc Fault Detector?

The FR-DCMG-AS4A DC Arc Monitoring Sensor can be applied in various DC transmission and distribution scenarios, such as photovoltaic combiner boxes, DC cabinets, telecom equipment rooms, communication base stations, and energy storage inverters. It continuously monitors for arc faults in DC circuits. Upon detecting an arc fault, the device immediately triggers an alarm signal to the inverter or other executing mechanism to cut off the fault loop, effectively preventing safety hazards such as fires caused by arcs.

Additional Knowledge: The DC Arc Fault Detector is utilized in Fonrich’s safety series products, such as the string-type arc fire protection box. When an arc fault is detected in a particular string of the photovoltaic array, the arc protection box immediately activates, disconnecting the string current to prevent fire incidents.
