According to the 2022 National Electricity Industry Statistics released by the National Energy Administration, as of the end of December 2022, the cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaics nationwide reached 390 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 28.1%. In 2022 alone, the newly installed photovoltaic capacity was 87.41 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 60.3%.

In the context of widespread societal focus on carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, distributed photovoltaic power stations are also rapidly developing. However, the current photovoltaic industry faces significant safety hazards as the PV modules lack shutdown measures, and it is not possible to monitor the power station data. DC power system maintenance and photovoltaic power station fires pose significant risks. Even if the inverter stops generating electricity, it cannot cut off the dangerous high DC voltage accumulated by the series-connected solar panels, leading to considerable safety hazards.

Fonrich’s products address critical gaps in key areas with photovoltaic smart safety protection devce that integrate module-level rapid shutdown, module-level arc protection, and string disconnection protection. These devices can monitor the entire photovoltaic array in real-time, provide early warnings, and then quickly shut down the system for protection.
