If the main controller(FR-DCMG-MMP?) has a flickering screen, how to solve it?

There are two types of main controller splash screens:

1.1  —Communication splash screen

1.2 —Powered splash screen


1.1 Summary of communication splash screen problems

1.1.1 —Flicker caused by poor communication line connection;

1.1.2 —Flickering screen caused by improper connection of communication shielding wire;

1.1.3 —Flicker caused by irregular construction

 

1.1.1 Flicker caused by poor communication line connection;

Reason

The A and B terminal screws of the main controller and the rail voltage terminal screws are not tightened, and the communication line is virtual connected, etc.;

 

Troubleshooting method:    

Check whether the A and B terminals of the main controller and the rail voltage terminal screws are tightly connected, and whether the communication line is connected to it;

 

Solution

Tighten the problematic terminal or communication wire tightly;

1.1.2 Flicker screen caused by improper connection of communication shielding wire;

Reason

The shielded wires are not connected in series, and single-point grounding is not performed;

The shielded wire has not been insulated, causing it to touch the ground or the bottom of the combiner box;

 

Solution

Use standard 485 twisted-pair shielded communication line;

Note: (In some cases, when single-point grounding cannot be solved, multi-point grounding can be used)

After the shielded wires are connected in series, they must be insulated to avoid touching the ground or the bottom of the combiner box;

Note: (Generally, the probability of the communication shielding wire touching the ground is higher, so the communication shielding wire in the combiner box must be insulated after being connected in series;)

1.1.3 The splash screen caused by irregular construction;

Reason

During the construction process, the length of the communication line was not enough and the wiring was performed. The shielded line and the communication line were not separated during the wiring, and the communication line and the shielded line were not well insulated, resulting in a short circuit between the line and the line;

 

Troubleshooting method

Find the communication bus that connects the communication line of the combiner box to the control room, and measure the DC voltage. If it is 0v, it means that the communication line and the shielding line have touched together;

 

Solution

Find the touch points and separate them for insulation treatment; Note: (The probability of this situation is very small)

1.2  Flicker problem caused by power supply  

1.2.1 Due to non-standard construction on site, the inverter is not grounded, the grounding system is poor, etc., the source of interference comes from the flicker phenomenon of DC measurement;

1.2.2 Flicker phenomenon caused by excessive interference of the inverter itself;

Troubleshooting method

      Remove the module AB terminal communication line;

      Module(FR-DCMG-MMP?) power off and restart

      The circuit breaker is in the closed state, if the module is still flickering, it is judged as "power supply flickering screen"

      Use the AC gear of the multimeter to measure whether the DC+ or DC-to-ground AC voltage of the module is in the normal range; Note: (It is not normal if it is greater than 100v;)

 

Solution

If the AC voltage to the ground exceeds the normal range, it is necessary to check whether the on-site grounding system is standard and whether the inverter grounding is leaking;

1.2.2 Flicker phenomenon caused by excessive interference of the inverter itself

Troubleshooting method

      Remove the module AB terminal communication line;

      Power off the module and restart;

      The circuit breaker is in the closed state, if the module still has a flickering screen, it is judged as a "power supply flickering screen".

      Use the AC gear of the multimeter to measure the AC voltage of the module DC+ or DC- to the ground. The AC voltage is within the normal range (less than 100v), but there is still a flickering phenomenon;
